OUR BACKGROUND

History and Creation

Youth Concept Forum Building Aspirants (YOCOFOBA) is a youth-led, non-profit, non-governmental Community Service Organization (CSO) founded on November 6, 2006. It was legally registered in Cameroon on July 19, 2007, as a service- providing Common Initiative Group, with the registration number NW/GP/30/07/11162.

Aim :

YOCOFOBA is committed to improving the livelihoods of youth in our community. We focus on uplifting the most underprivileged, vulnerable, and marginalized populations in the Northwest region of Cameroon.

Objectives and Mission

YOCOFOBA empowers local youth by harnessing their energy, creativity, and passion, guiding them to channel these qualities into impactful community projects. Our initiatives focus on civic engagement, environmental conservation, education, and peace advocacy. We work alongside youth to help them become future- oriented, self-sufficient agents of change within their communities.

Our Objectives

Among other goals, YOCOFOBA seeks to:

✅ Promote sustainable agricultural practices through the operation of demonstration farms and the provision of consultancy services.
Empower children and youth to help them achieve their life goals.

✅ Actively engage youth in civic life within their communities.

✅ Mobilize youth energy for community development projects, particularly through volunteering.

✅ Assist in the education and training of young minds and talents.

✅ Conserve the environment and mitigate the negative effects of climate change.

✅ Advocate for peaceful cohabitation and nonviolence within communities.
